Description

"Third light" with new AP rig - my first refractor, a beautifully made Askar 130PHQ on a new CEM70G. I am VERY happy with the capability this new setup brings. Prior to this I tried to capture M43 on my EdgeHD 8 with a reducer but could never quite seem to capture the milky structure and detail enveloping the Pleiades. Steady 0.6 to 0.8 Total RMS guiding along with a very good focuser, a ZWO EAF mounted on the Askar 130PHQ's 3.4" focuser made this image possible. Can't wait to finish the RGB on the next dark night - this was the best I could do on this night due to the target dipping behind my house's roof. :/

Processing: WBPP with auto crop, ABE, EZDenoise, BXT, EZSoftStretch, Save as TIF, Photoshop very slight Levels with auto Contrast, export as PNG as full size.

Clear Skies and God Bless to all!
